The White Spider, also known as a Vodka Stinger, is a Stinger made with vodka instead of Cognac. Smooth vodka accentuates the invigorating mint flavor. Vodka’s heat is tempered by the crème de menthe’s sweetness. The White Spider delivers clear, cool flavor unhampered by a flavored base.

Despite being made of only spirits, The White Spider is a shaken drink. ‘Shaken not stirred’ is actually appropriate here. Serve it straight up in a martini glass, or over crushed ice in an old fashioned glass. I like to garnish with a small sprig of fresh mint leaves.

White Spider / Vodka Stinger Recipe

2 ounces vodka
¾ ounce white crème de menthe
Garnish: mint leaves

In a cocktail shaker combine the vodka and crème de menthe with ice.
Shake well.
Strain into a cocktail glass or over crushed ice in an old fashioned glass.
Garnish with mint leaves.

Shake up a White Spider and shake up your taste buds. The clear mint flavor is a refreshing way to end a meal or start a celebration.
Cheers!

Make sure to try the original Cognac based version – The Stinger.
